Landaco was started in the 1980s by a farming and contract spreading father and son duo from Hay, New South Wales.

As the contract spreading business grew, necessity inspired the duo to design a prototype which dispensed with the old chain distributors and replaced them with a belt-driven unit with hydraulic spinners.

Demand for the product grew over the years and the company moved to Wagga Wagga in 1997.

“They are relatively new to South Australia but are certainly capturing the attention of many local farmers who are pursuing an ever-increasing level of precision, accuracy and spreading capacity,” Techgrow managing director Colin Mitchell said.

“The Landaco units are extremely well engineered and offer all of the optionality the modern professional farmer has come to love.

“The precision bulk spreaders are fully equipped with weigh cells, full variable rate application, ISOBUS connectivity and hydraulic drive.”

Landaco Maxispread Trailed Spreader’s removable in-centre spreading deck with adjustable drop point provides an incredibly accurate spread pattern and the ability to spread a wide variety of products.

The spreader was outstanding in recent testing conducted by AFSA, the industry body for fertiliser spreading in Australia.

Techgrow has been privileged to work alongside the Wagga Wagga manufacturer to design two trailed spreader models specifically for Yorke Peninsula and Mid North — the 11 tonne TD110 and the 15 tonne TD150.

“We are extremely pleased with the quality, accuracy and reliability of the Landaco product and are excited with what we can offer local customers for all of their spreading requirements,” Mr Mitchell said.
