JANDEBREY White Suffolk Stud, located in Sandilands and run by Geoff and Tania Stock, was founded in 1994.
Since then, Geoff and Tania have gained a reputation for producing reliable flock rams that are sound in structure, have excellent length, and are well-muscled, enabling commercial lamb breeders to achieve the best prime lambs possible.
“We believe in the importance of breeding high-quality paddock-reared rams that will perform well, even in tough conditions,” Geoff said.
“Last season was particularly challenging, with most areas of South Australia experiencing their driest year on record.
“This has led to a reduction in livestock numbers around the state and a high reliance on supplementary feeding throughout the year.
“In recent weeks, the sheep and lamb markets have rebounded to favourable levels, which is positive news for prime lamb producers.”
Geoff and Tania are dedicated to improving the Jandebrey Stud by purchasing outstanding White Suffolk stud sires and high-quality ewes from leading studs across Australia.
These bloodlines will feature in the 60 rams offered at the Jandebrey auction on Wednesday, September 17.
“Our 2025 sale rams are the progeny of excellent stud sires from the Baringa Stud in Oberon, New South Wales, and the Wingamin Stud at Karoonda,” Geoff said.
“These studs have been consistently strong performers at the Hamilton, Bendigo, Canberra and Sydney shows.”
All Jandebrey White Suffolks are vaccinated against Ovine Johne’s Disease and are accredited free of Ovine Brucellosis.
At the stud’s 2024 sale, repeat buyers Nick and Lauren Clift, of Sheaoak Pastoral at Pine Point, commended the rams for their clean features, length of loin and rump conformation.
Nick and Lauren purchased the top-priced Jandebrey ram for $1900, which was Lot 4 sired by the 20/2707 Wingamin ram.
The average sale price for 2024 was $878.
Jandebrey White Suffolks is proud to sponsor the Ardrossan Football Club, Curramulka Community Club, and Central Yorke Cougars Football Club.
The 2025 Jandebrey sale will be held at the Maitland Showgrounds.
Inspection begins at noon, with the sale starting at 1.30pm, and a barbecue lunch will be provided.
