YOUNG innovators in agriculture have a new opportunity to grow their impact, with applications now open for the AgriEmpower Scholarship.
The National Farmers’ Federation and Woolworths have launched the program to support the next generation of agricultural leaders, offering 20 scholarships valued at $20,000 each.
The initiative represents a $400,000 investment over four years.
Open to individuals aged 25 to 40, the scholarship is designed to empower recipients to advance their projects, skills and experience in agriculture.
Participants will have 18 months to use the funds and will gain access to events and workshops hosted by Woolworths and the NFF to build their professional networks.
NFF president David Jochinke said the initiative came at a pivotal time for the industry.
“Australian agriculture is racing towards an ambitious $100 billion target by 2030,” he said.
“Reaching it requires bold ideas, fresh thinking and passionate leaders.
“We’re looking for diverse thinkers who don’t fit a single mould, but share a drive to enhance Australian agriculture.
“This is your chance to make your project happen and contribute meaningfully to the sector.”
Woolworths retail managing director Annette Karantoni said the scholarship reflected the company’s long-term commitment to a strong and innovative agricultural industry.
Applications close June 30. To apply, visit nff.org.au/agriempower-scholarships.
